Head Start Intern

Summary: Lincoln Hills Development Corp is seeking a part-time Head Start Intern to assist lead teachers and support classroom needs. The intern will engage in tasks such as classroom management, lesson preparation, and childcare while developing skills under experienced staff guidance. Responsibilities: - Assisting lead teachers - Creating a safe and engaging learning environment - Supporting the overall needs of the classroom - Involved in various tasks, including classroom management, lesson preparation, and childcare - Completing duties and responsibilities as they relate to the Head Start Performance Standards, Indiana Day Care Licensing Regulations, CACFP Guidelines, and Head Start Birth-5 Forms and Procedures Manual Required Qualifications: - Enrollment in a High School, Technical Education (CTE) program, College Program, or enrolled in an Undergraduate/Graduate Degree Program in Early Childhood or comparable field of study is required - Must meet Head Start and Indiana Childcare Licensing Regulations, including Head Start Standards of Conduct, federal and state criminal history requirements, sex offender registry checks, drug screen, physical and complete an annual T.B. test Preferred Qualifications: - Knowledge or experience in the desired field of study is preferred Required Skills: Head Start Performance Standards, Indiana Day Care Licensing Regulations, CACFP Guidelines, Head Start Birth-5 Forms and Procedures Manual
