Job Description
Summary: HaloScape is a next-generation digital health company focused on personal wellness through AI technology. As a Clinical Research Intern, you will support clinical studies and contribute to turning research findings into actionable product decisions while collaborating with physician-scientists.
Responsibilities:
- Support literature reviews, study protocols, and IRB submissions
- Assist with wearable-data analysis under supervision
- Translate clinical findings into concrete UX recommendations, and user observations into testable research questions
- Contribute to abstracts, posters, and manuscript drafts
Required Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in an MD, MD/PhD, MPH, or undergraduate program (biomedical sciences, bioengineering, neuroscience, CS, public health, HCI, or related) — recent graduates welcome
- Genuine interest in AI in healthcare and how continuous data becomes clinical evidence
- A multidisciplinary instinct: you read a paper and think about what to redesign; you use an app and think about what study would tell you whether it works
- Basic understanding of clinical study design — you don't need to be an expert, but you should know what an RCT is and why someone might choose a retrospective cohort instead
- Self-directed in a remote environment
Required Skills: Clinical study design, Randomized controlled trials (RCT), Retrospective cohort studies, Wearable data analysis, Literature review, IRB submissions, Manuscript drafting
Benefits: Direct mentorship from physician-scientists working across clinical care, AI development, and regulatory strategy, A behind-the-scenes look at how a digital health company moves a product from prototype toward regulation pathways
