Job Description
Summary: Quirch Foods is a diverse family of companies committed to sourcing environmentally conscious and sustainable food products. They are seeking an intern for the purchasing department to assist with training, process analysis, and purchasing activities.
Responsibilities:
- On the field training with retail merchandisers throughout the supply chain
- Analyze processes, recommend improvements, and work with the team to implement changes
- Generate accurate purchase orders / variance purchase orders and distribute them within standard time frames
- Manage replenishment stocks within the supply chain
- Participate with purchasing associates in negotiating prices, terms and rebates with suppliers
Required Qualifications:
- Experience with business process analysis and documentation
- Great organizational skills, attention to detail and follow thru
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Microsoft Office experience; intermediate in Excel
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bilingual candidates are desired but not required (English and Spanish)
