The TechnologyCompliance Analyst role supports our Group Technology teams, working closely with Product Owners, Cyber Security, Risk and Delivery teams to strengthen the assurance and governance of our technology environment. With a primary focus on disaster recovery and backup compliance, this role also contributes to broader technology compliance activities, ensuring our controls, standards and obligations are met across the technology landscape. This role is ideal for someone looking to build strong foundations in technology compliance, IT risk management and governance, within a collaborative and well‑structured team where your work directly contributes to maintaining the trust of our people, customers and regulators.
Reporting to the Senior Manager – Risk and Compliance, you’ll play a key role in driving and monitoring Disaster Recovery and backup compliance, as well as broader compliance activities across technology systems and change initiatives. The Technology Compliance Analyst partners with stakeholders to embed compliance requirements into BAU and delivery activities, support changes to the Technology Business Continuity Plan, assist with audit preparation and contribute to ongoing risk and control uplift. This role coordinates remediation actions, provides clear and timely reporting, and supports the stability and integrity of our technology platforms. You’ll bring a detail‑focused, integrity‑driven mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement and supporting safe, reliable operations across the Qantas Group.
You’ll have:
2–5 years’ experience in technology, governance, risk, audit, compliance, Business or Systems Analysis, Product or IT Support
Strong analytical and critical‑thinking skills, with high attention to detail and the ability to extract insights from data
Experience supporting day‑to‑day compliance monitoring activities, including disaster recovery and backup compliance assessments and broader technology control assessments
Hands‑on experience maintaining compliance registers, documentation and routine reporting artefacts
Experience preparing, organising and collating evidence to support internal reviews and external audits
Supporting the implementation of compliance requirements within technology projects and change activities, including changes to the Technology BCP, working closely with delivery teams
Tracking remediation actions, following up owners and maintaining status updates for stakeholders and governance forums
Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, managing assigned activities independently while escalating risks and issues as required
