Location: CAN, AB, Banff, Banff Office

The Revenue Manager is accountable for maximizing revenue and profitability across Pursuit's Banff Jasper attractions and transportation businesses. Reporting to the Director of Revenue Maximization, this role applies disciplined, data-driven decision-making to develop and execute strategies across pricing, inventory, product, and distribution — with a continuous focus on demand analysis, channel optimization, and new product development.
This is a highly cross-functional position requiring strong analytical skills, clear communication, and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels, including General Managers, Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Finance.
The incumbent will ideally be located in Banff, however Jasper and Calgary candidates also considered.
Pricing Strategy & Optimization
Accountable for the integrity and performance of all consumer-direct, travel trade, and promotional rate structures across each line of business
Includes (but not limited to) maintaining competitive positioning through ongoing market benchmarking, owning the Master Pricing List, and ensuring dynamic pricing partnerships are actively managed to protect yield
Inventory Management & Partner Allocation
Responsible for ensuring the right inventory is available through the right channel at the right time across all guest segments
This accountability spans the full lifecycle of inventory: from establishing release strategies and cutoff policies, to managing contracted partner allocations, to collaborating with Operations on capacity utilization
Collaborate with the OTA Account Manager to develop promotions, maximize visibility, and optimize revenue, overseeing product setup, two-way channel manager interface maintenance, and ongoing OTA inventory management
Product Demand Analysis & New Product Development
Accountable for understanding demand at a segment, channel, and booking window level, and translating that understanding into action
This includes identifying gaps in the current product portfolio, partnering with Marketing, Sales, and Operations to develop and launch new offerings, and evaluating product performance post-launch with a clear lens on revenue, PAX, and yield
Provide pricing frameworks and feasibility analysis for new product concepts prior to approval
Forecasting & Reporting
Owns the forecasting function across their portfolio, maintaining 21-month day-by-day, segment-level forecasts and delivering weekly pace reports throughout the season
Responsible for producing regular performance reporting against KPIs includ
ing yield, conversion, booking window, channel mix, and segment performance
Accountable for variance commentary that clearly explains drivers and informs decision-making at the leadership level
Contributes to annual business planning and budget-period forecasting in partnership with Finance and the Revenue leaders
Capital Growth Analysis
Responsible for building and maintaining 10-year revenue models that support long-range capital planning and investment decisions
This includes developing scenario-based growth projections in partnership with Finance, Revenue Leaders, and SLT, stress-testing capital proposals across conservative, base, and upside assumptions, and ensuring revenue perspectives are meaningfully integrated into the capital planning process
Market Intelligence & Competitive Analysis
Accountable for maintaining an active and current understanding of the competitive landscape, demand generators, and market conditions across portfolio
This includes evaluating available market share and data reports, monitoring local events and macro trends, and proactively adjusting strategies to respond to opportunities or mitigate risk
Stay current on industry trends and innovations in revenue management, dynamic pricing, and distribution to continuously improve practices
Channel & Distribution Management
Responsible for ensuring all distribution channels, including direct, OTA, travel trade, and walk-up, are optimized for availability, rate integrity, and visibility
Ensure standards across all systems (central reservations, website, walk-up) are consistently met; identify and lead improvements
Provide pricing and inventory guidance to Sales for affiliate, regional, and travel trade channel negotiations
Stakeholder Collaboration & Leadership
Prepare for and chair recurring bi-weekly Revenue meetings with the Revenue Team (Sales, Marketing, Central Reservations) and Operations
Apply deep expertise in segment dynamics, booking windows, demand curves, and market trends to evaluate strategies brought forward by Revenue Leaders — synthesizing across all channels to make well-informed, balanced recommendations that optimize short- and long-term revenue performance
Communicate rate and product strategy recommendations clearly and persuasively to the Revenue Team and General Managers
Work with General Managers to incorporate guest feedback into pricing and product strategies
Partner with Finance on budget planning, financial reporting, and variance analysis
Enforce all Pursuit policies and standards, including the 'Always Honest' code of conduct
REQUIRED SKILLS QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Hospitality Management, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a revenue management, pricing, or yield analysis role — ideally in hospitality, attractions, transportation, or a related industry
Demonstrated experience developing pricing strategies, managing inventory across multiple channels, and building forecasts
Experience with OTA platforms and channel management tools (Redeam or similar) preferred
Experience with dynamic pricing tools (Digonex or similar) an asset
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; strong working knowledge of the broader Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Teams)
Growth mindset with a natural orientation toward opportunity — curious, open to new ideas, and committed to continuous learning and improvement
Strong analytical and quantitative skills — able to interpret complex data, draw actionable conclusions, and communicate findings clearly to non-technical audiences
Sound understanding of revenue management principles including segmentation, displacement analysis, price elasticity, and channel economics
Experience with Ventrata and/or booking/reservations platforms
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence across functions and levels
Collaborative and relationship-oriented; able to work effectively with a geographically dispersed team in both virtual and in-person environments
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced, seasonal environment
Resourceful problem-solver with intellectual curiosity and a continuous improvement mindset
Comfortable with ambiguity and change; able to adapt quickly and maintain a sense of perspective under pressure
Sense of humor and ability to stay grounded when the unexpected happens
Flexibility to work non-traditional hours during critical business periods as needed
