Legal Intern, Privacy

Summary: Proof is the world's first identity-assured transaction management platform on a mission to digitize trust for critical transactions. They are seeking a Legal Intern to handle privacy requests, assist with compliance projects, and streamline processes across the organization. Responsibilities: - Handle incoming privacy requests - Escalate requests when appropriate by looping in subject matter experts - Provide responses to consumers - Responsible for managing the process and developing process improvements - Develop tracking, monitoring, and reporting/filtering for requests - Assist and coordinate with Privacy Counsel on other privacy initiatives, including data mapping and implementing privacy controls, audits, and monitoring - Monitor, and research state and federal law as they may relate to remote online notarizations and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) providers - Partner with internal business partners to meet legal requests - Review and revise current company policies to ensure legal compliance Required Qualifications: - Currently enrolled in law school or have an active law license - Strong academic record - Strong written and verbal communication skills - Precise attention to detail - Motivation to learn and grow Preferred Qualifications: - Prior internship experience a plus - Exposure to SaaS/tech industry a plus Required Skills: Law school enrollment, Privacy law knowledge Important Skills: SaaS exposure Nice-to-Have Skills: Prior internship experience, communication skills, Attention to detail, Motivation to learn
