Job Description
Summary: Prescient Edge is seeking a motivated and intellectually curious Business Development & Research Intern to support their growth organization. This role involves conducting research to identify business opportunities, analyzing market trends, and collaborating with various teams to refine strategies for federal contracting and corporate growth.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct research to identify federal, defense, and intelligence community opportunities aligned with Prescient Edge’s technical and mission capabilities
- Analyze solicitations, Requests for Information (RFIs), market trends, and competitor landscapes
- Support the development and refinement of opportunity pipelines and capture strategies
- Summarize findings in clear, persuasive written reports, briefs, and recommendations
- Assist in drafting content for white papers, capabilities statements, or proposal sections
- Collaborate with business development, technical SMEs, and corporate leadership to validate opportunity fit and strategic alignment
- Track relevant government procurement activity, priorities, and spending trends using public and subscription based tools (e.g., SAM.gov, GovWin, FPDS)
- Support adhoc research and analysis tasks as required
Required Qualifications:
- Strong desire to read, learn, and absorb complex information
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an interest in persuasive writing and analytical storytelling
- Ability to conduct structured research, interpret data, and present insights clearly
- Self motivated with high intellectual curiosity and attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint)
- Currently pursuing a degree in business, international relations, political science, economics, national security, public policy, or a related field
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with federal contracting processes or government procurement cycles
- Experience using research or market intelligence tools
- Interest in national security, defense, emerging technologies, or analytics
