Job Description
Summary: Pratt & Whitney, part of RTX and a leader in aerospace and defense, is seeking a Computer Science Intern for the Summer of 2026. The intern will work on automating and streamlining manual processes to improve efficiency and productivity within the team, while gaining hands-on experience in managing Sustainment Data in the Military Engines Aftermarket environment.
Responsibilities:
- The intern will work on projects to identify, design, and implement solutions to automate and streamline manual processes, improving efficiency and productivity within the team
- Develop understanding of managing Sustainment Data in the Military Engines Aftermarket environment
- You will engage in cross functional collaboration, analyze processes and workflows, recommend improvements for data accuracy and efficiency, and enhance your project management skills
Required Qualifications:
- Enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Experience in programming languages such as Python, Java, C# or similar
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Experience using Oracle SQL
- Familiarity with automation tools, scripting, or task scheduling platforms
- Familiarity with DataBricks environment
- Familiarity with Classic Machine Learning and current Artificial Intelligence best practices
- Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and process optimization techniques
- Experience using Databricks or similar data analytics platform
