Job Description
Summary: Philips is a health technology company dedicated to improving access to quality healthcare. The Hardware Development Engineer will design and develop hardware for ultrasound products, focusing on high-quality analog/mixed signal and digital hardware designs from requirements to release.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver high quality analog/mixed signal and digital hardware designs (power, signal path, etc.) starting from requirements and schematic development until release (end to end)
- Document development efforts for the subsystem, component, or module, including requirements, specifications, plans, and reviews
- Perform integration and debugging of designs
- Coordinate, support and execute product tests to provide a traceable verification of the design
- Conduct technical design reviews with the project team(s) and independent subject matter experts across the company
- Actively participate in cost saving opportunities, design maintenance and solving end-of-life issues
Required Qualifications:
- You've earned a BS or MS (preferred) in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering or equivalent
- You have 1+ years of professional experience in electronic hardware development
- Ideally your experience is focused on discrete circuit design
- You have strong fundamentals in circuits, analog/mixed signal designs and digital designs
- Experience with power conversion (SMPS circuits) desired
- You're experienced in schematic capture tools (Mentor Graphics, Cadence, Altium)
- You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position
