Accounting Intern

Summary: Petco is a leading company dedicated to improving the lives of pets and their owners. They are offering a 12-week paid internship in accounting, where the intern will gain hands-on experience in tasks such as journal entry preparation, vendor contract review, and billing preparation. Responsibilities: - Journal entry and reconciliation preparation - Vendor consideration contract review - Billing preparation - Cash application and coding - Other assigned projects Required Qualifications: - The Petco Accounting Internship Program is a 12-week opportunity. The intern will be expected to work within normal business hours, 40 hours/week, Monday – Friday - Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree program with a focus in Accounting and an anticipated graduation date between May 2026 and December 2026, or have recently obtained a Bachelor's Degree with a focus in Accounting Preferred Qualifications: - A GPA of 3.2 or higher is preferred Required Skills: Accounting, Execution, Drive for Results, Process Improvement, Planning, Build Collaborative Relationships Benefits: Health and financial benefits, 401K, Incentives, PTO
