Clinical Lab Scientist 1 (3rd Shift)

Summary: Personalis is transforming cancer management through personalized testing and advanced insights. The Clinical Lab Scientist 1 will perform and report clinical lab testing, ensuring compliance with laboratory procedures and supporting the lab's operations in a team-oriented environment. Responsibilities: - Maintain updated understanding and knowledge of the methods employed in the lab and the use of the resulting information by physicians through continuing education activities - Supervise the activities of the lab in the absence of an onsite manager - Identify problems that may adversely affect test performance or reporting of test results and either correct the problems or notify management - Participate in activities which support all necessary licensure for the clinical laboratory, including quality management functions and on-site inspections of the laboratory - Trains other CLS personnel and other staff in laboratory methods. Monitor the activities of non-licensed personnel as needed - Follow the laboratory's established policies and procedures, quality control policies and activities including required documentation necessary to ensure compliance - May be required to assist in assay development activities - Other duties as required Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree, preferably in sciences or related disciplines - California Clinical Laboratory Scientist license OR CGMBS license - 0-4 years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with manual DNA/RNA extractions - Experience with manual library prep - Experience working with a microtome Required Skills: Clinical Laboratory Scientist license, CGMBS license, Clinical laboratory testing, Manual DNA extraction, Manual RNA extraction, Manual library preparation, Microtome operation Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k) match, ESPP, Tuition reimbursement, Sick/vacation time, Commuter benefits/ EV charging stations, Onsite gym, Wellness benefits
