Accounting Intern

Summary: PDS Health is a large multi-state employer seeking an Accounting Intern for their Summer Intern Program. This 10-week, in-person internship provides undergraduate students with valuable experience in accounting operations and process automation. Responsibilities: - Supports the Accounting department in the automation of the month end process - Learns and documents the month end process - Updates month end task list - Assists and learns the Cash/Bank Reconciliation process - Identifies areas of opportunity to automate processes - Presents findings and recommendations to the leadership and Accounting team - Collaborates with department team members to accomplish assigned projects - Collaborates with other interns to accomplish completion of assigned group project - Leads in the organization and gathering of information - Other duties as assigned by Management Required Qualifications: - Current or recent enrollment in an undergraduate degree program in Accounting - Ability to prioritize tasks and handle numerous assignments simultaneously - Familiarity with debits and credit, P&L, and balance sheets - Familiarity with Microsoft Office, with a more advanced skill set in Excel Preferred Qualifications: - Preferred exposure working in a finance, accounting, or similar environment, either in previous jobs or internships Required Skills: Accounting knowledge, Excel proficiency Important Skills: Finance exposure, Task prioritization Nice-to-Have Skills: Collaboration
