Job Description
Summary: Dynamic Energy is on a mission to decarbonize the grid by increasing the availability of renewable energy across the U.S. The Business Development Representative (BDR) identifies new business opportunities and builds relationships with potential clients to support the company's growth and profitability through lead generation and sales support.
Responsibilities:
- Client acquisition / lead generation (primary focus): Research target accounts and contacts; conduct outbound outreach (phone, email, and other channels); qualify inbound and outbound leads; schedule meetings and transition qualified opportunities to the appropriate sales leader
- Sales support: Assist with preparation of proposals, contracts, presentations, and other documentation; coordinate information needed to advance opportunities; support deal execution as directed
- Reporting and administration: Maintain accurate and timely records of prospecting activity and client interactions in the CRM; prepare recurring activity and pipeline reports; complete administrative tasks as needed
- Professional development: Stay current on renewable energy and competitive landscape; participate in training and coaching to improve product knowledge and sales effectiveness
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Understanding of sales fundamentals and customer service practices; prior business development/inside sales experience is a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication; ability to build rapport and handle objections; proficiency with CRM tools and disciplined activity tracking; basic understanding of the solar/renewable industry
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment with strong organization, time management, and follow-through
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1–2 years of experience in business development, inside sales, or a similar role; experience in solar or renewable energy is a plus
- Familiarity with commercial or utility-scale solar sales cycles; knowledge of solar energy systems/value proposition; relevant renewable-energy training or certification
