Customer Service Associate (HELE Salt Lake | Part-Time)

Summary: Par Pacific Holdings, Inc. is a leading energy company recognized for its retail services in Hawaii. They are seeking a Customer Service Associate to provide prompt and courteous service, manage sales transactions, and assist in maintaining store operations within their HELE convenience stores. Responsibilities: - Consistently provide prompt and courteous customer service; may be required to assist customers at the gas pump - Accurately ring up all sales on POS system, comply with all cash handling procedures including other payment types for products sold - Responsible for all cash and other forms of tender, (e.g. coupons, credit card transactions) - Comply with company policies and store procedures, including all safety and environmental policies and procedures - Responsible for receiving, stocking & organizing merchandise - Assist in maintaining proper inventory levels and shift audits - Adopt, comply with, and participate in all safety programs and trainings, attend mandatory job-related meeting/trainings as needed - Perform cleaning duties necessary to maintain site cleanliness inside and out, and basic upkeep and/or cleaning of all equipment on the site - Assist with identifying equipment problems and report as needed - Perform all duties with minimal supervision, and may be required to work flexible hours, attend job-related meetings and other duties as assigned Required Qualifications: - At least 21 years of age or older - Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship - Ability to perform essential duties and work in the conditions as described Preferred Qualifications: - High School Diploma or GED - Experience in retail sales and handling cash - Perform basic math accurately - Ability to communicate in English (orally and in writing), including proficient telephone communication skills - Ability to work various shifts as scheduled, and arrive on time - Ability to work with equipment, tools and materials as required Required Skills: POS system operation, Cash handling, Retail sales Benefits: Employee Assistance Program, 401k plan, Purchase company stock at discounted prices, 29 hours vacation starting the first day after their 1-year anniversary date
