Job Description
About Pair Team
Pair Team is building a new kind of healthcare system across Medicaid, Medicare, and public assistance programs: one that recognizes that access to housing, nutritious food, and reliable transportation are just as critical to health as having the right medications or seeing a doctor.
As a public benefit corporation and AI-enabled medical group, we partner with shelters, food pantries, and community organizations to deliver “whole-person” care to the 115 million Americans who rely on the safety net. We are currently the largest complex care provider in California with over 500 employees and are expanding nationally. Our model replaces fragmented healthcare and social services systems with one trusted relationship for all medical, behavioral, and social needs. We improve access, build trust, and dramatically lower costs (52% fewer ER visits, 26% fewer hospitalizations). Our model is a rare combination of saving tax payer dollars ($150B annually at scale) while putting people on an upward life trajectory. At national scale, this approach would save taxpayers.
These outcomes are driven by the AI-first, whole-person infrastructure we are building — a platform that connects healthcare and social-service organizations into a unified network. Leveraging our vast data and years of operational experience, we are building the agentic infrastructure for the safety net to coordinate care, automate operations, and learn from every patient interaction to continuously improve outcomes.

About the Opportunity
As a Senior PM on Pod-Agents, you will drive the product vision and roadmap for our AI agent platform: the system that helps frontline care managers do their best work, reducing administrative burden, surfacing the right information at the right time, and creating more space for human connection with the patients who need it most.
This is a high-autonomy IC role that sits at the intersection of clinical reality and technical possibility. You'll work directly with engineering, clinical operations, and our Chief Medical Officer to define what we build, why it matters, and how we know it's working. You'll be the connective tissue between care teams who understand the problem and engineers who can solve it.
What You'll Do
Partner with product leadership to define and drive the Pod-Agents roadmap, from discovery through pilot, GA, and ongoing iteration. You'll contribute to strategy, own the specs, and drive execution on one of our most technically ambitious product areas.
Partner closely with our CMO and clinical operations team to deeply understand how care managers work, where AI can genuinely help, and where humans need to stay in the loop.
Define what good looks like for AI agent features, including evaluation frameworks, success metrics, and feedback loops that tell you whether the product is actually working in the field.
Write clear, opinionated specs that give engineers and designers the context they need to build the right thing: not requirements documents, but decision documents.
Navigate ambiguity with structure. This is greenfield product work in a regulated domain – you’ll make good calls with incomplete information, and know when to slow down and learn more before moving forward.
Own the cross-functional alignment across Pod-Agents, ECM, and Access, driving the shared understanding of what we're building, why it matters, and how it connects to Pair Team's broader care delivery model and partner programs.
Keep stakeholders informed and united at every stage — writing crisp updates, running efficient reviews, and managing across clearly so leadership always has the context they need and the team stays focused on building.
Who to Are
Domain-Fluent Clinical Builder. You've built products that touch real care workflows, for care managers, clinicians, health plans, or patients, and you take clinical context seriously. You know how to learn a domain fast, you ask the right questions, and you don't ship things that would make a care manager's day harder.
Strong Senior-Level IC. You operate with independence and conviction expected at this level. You can walk into an ambiguous problem space, develop a clear POV, and drive execution. You contribute to roadmap strategy and own your projects end-to-end.
AI Product Pragmatist. You've shipped AI or ML-powered features and you understand what makes them hard: evaluation, uncertainty, hallucination risk, and the gap between what works in a demo and what works in production. You have strong opinions about where AI earns its place in a clinical workflow.
Clear Thinker, Strong Writer. You write specs that people actually read. You can distill complex tradeoffs into clear recommendations for engineering, clinical leadership, and executives. You treat the written word as a core product tool.
Regulatory-Aware. You've navigated compliance constraints, including HIPAA, CMS requirements, and value-based care structures, as a real part of product design. Not a checkbox, but a design input.
What You'll Need
4+ years of product management experience, with at least 2+ years in healthcare, care delivery, or a similarly regulated and complex domain.
A track record of owning a product area end-to-end - driving roadmap execution and influencing outcomes across Engineering and Clinical stakeholders.
Experience building products that touch clinical workflows, whether for care managers, clinicians, health plans, or patients.
Experience shipping AI or ML-powered features with hands-on involvement in defining evaluation criteria, success metrics, and post-launch iteration.
Strong written communication. You write specs that move teams forward and can explain complex tradeoffs clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Comfort with compliance and regulatory constraints as first-class product inputs, not afterthoughts.
Bonus Points for the following:
Experience with Medicare Advantage, Enhanced Care Management (ECM), D-SNPs, or similar Medicaid/Medicare programs.
Background building tools for complex care populations, including dual-eligible, Medicaid, or high-acuity patients.
Familiarity with agentic AI systems, LLM-based product development, or clinical decision support tools.
Experience at a value-based care company, care management organization, or digital health startup.
