Position Summary We are hiring a Manager, Accounts Payable with at least 8 years of experience, and 4 years of experience in a leadership role. This position reports to Chief Accounting Officer and is in our White Plains, New York headquarters.
The Manager Accounts Payable will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company’s AP function to ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. This role will lead the AP team in processing vendor invoices, coordinating payment cycles, supporting month- and quarter-end close, and upholding strong internal controls in accordance with SOX requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage, train, and mentor the accounts payable team to deliver consistent, high-quality vendor management results.
- Oversee the timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices through PO validation, credits.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, SOX requirements, and internal controls related to disbursements and approvals.
- Review AP aging, accruals, and reconciliations, and prepare reports for senior management.
- Partner with accounting and FP&A teams to ensure complete and accurate AP related entries, accruals, and disclosures. Supporting strong accrual estimate processes.
- Act as the primary point of contact with purchasing and for vendors, resolving issues promptly and maintaining positive relationships.
- Identify and implement automation opportunities, improving efficiency and scalability as the company grows.
- Provide documentation and respond to requests from internal and external auditors related to accounts payable.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- Minimum 8 years of progressive AP cycle experience, including 4+ years in a supervisory or management role; prior experience in a publicly traded company strongly preferred.
- Proficiency with ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, or Oracle preferred) and advanced Excel skills.
- Experience with NetSuite implementation and transformation activities preferred.
- Solid understanding of GAAP, SOX compliance, and AP best practices in a corporate environment.
- Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills; ability to work effectively across finance, procurement, sales and operations teams.
- Commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence with record of driving process improvements and implementing best practices.

Work Hours and Arrangements Monday – Friday; standard business hours. Hybrid in office 3 days a week required.

Pay The range for this role is anticipated to be $115,000-$125,000 annually with bonus for eligible positions. Where a specific pay range is noted, it is a good faith estimate at the time of this posting. The actual salary offered will be based on experience, skills, qualifications, market / business considerations, and geographic location.
