Job Description
Summary: NYC Public Schools is seeking a Special Education Case Management Law Student Intern for a temporary summer internship. The role involves legal research, document preparation, and assisting with compliance in special education law under the supervision of an Attorney Supervisor.
Responsibilities:
- Legal research and the preparing of legal documents
- Analyzing legal documents and assisting in document review
- Assisting in the review and interpretation of existing laws, rules and regulations
Required Qualifications:
- Must have completed one year of law school
Required Skills: Legal Research, Legal Document Preparation, Legal Document Analysis, Special Education Law, Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), New York State Education Law, New York State Education Department (NYSED) Commissioners Regulations, New York City Public School Chancellor’s Regulations, Confidentiality Compliance
