Head of Program & Portfolio Management – SerDes Networking Solutions
Location: San Jose (Rose Orchard)
Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced and visionary Director Program Management – SerDes Networking Solutions to build, lead, and scale the Program Management function for our SerDes Networking Solutions business. In this role, you will be accountable for end‑to‑end program management across product definition, execution and customer engagement, while shaping portfolio, resource, and execution governance in a fast‑growing, post‑acquisition environment.
You will act as a key member of the Product Line leadership team, driving execution excellence, and ensuring alignment between business strategy, technology roadmaps and customer commitments.
Key Responsibilities
Build, lead and develop the Program Management competence and team for the SerDes Networking Solution segment.
Drive Project Portfolio and Pipeline Management, ensuring alignment of investments, priorities, and resources with business strategy and budget constraints.
Oversee program definition activities including market input, product positioning, and execution strategy (make/buy/partner).
Act as a key partner to the Product Line leadership in preparing and defending portfolio decisions.
Drive disciplined planning, risk management, budget tracking, and milestone control across multi‑site, cross‑functional teams.
Ensure transparent, consistent and high‑quality internal and external reporting on program status, risks and corrective actions.
Act as an executive interface for key OEMs and Tier‑1s in alignment with Sales, CAS, FAEs and Product Management.
Support the ongoing integration of Aviva Links into NXP’s way of working, ensuring scalable program structures, processes, and governance.
Qualifications & Experience
Experience
Master’s degree in Engineering, MBA is a plus.
15+ years of experience in automotive or high‑tech industries, with significant leadership responsibility in program, product, or general management roles.
Proven track record leading large, cross‑functional, and multi‑site projects with substantial budget and revenue responsibility.
Strong background in complex system development (HW, SW, validation, qualification) and automotive NPI processes.
Skills & Competencies
Excellent business and financial acumen with the ability to balance strategy, execution, and customer needs.
Deep understanding of automotive networking, ADAS/IVI systems, or closely related domains.
Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence at executive level and align diverse stakeholders.
Structured, analytical, and decisive, with a passion for execution excellence and continuous improvement.
Excellent communication skills, comfortable operating in a global, multicultural environment.

The base salary range for this position is as mentioned below per year. We also provide competitive benefits, incentive compensation, and/or equity for certain roles.

Please note that the base salary range (OR hourly rate) is a guideline, and individual total compensation may vary based on a number of factors such as qualifications, skill level, work location, and other business and organizational needs. This base pay range is specific to California and is not applicable to other locations. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range as of the date of this posting is:
$220,400 to $303,100 annually
