Job Description
WHO WE ARE Notion is the collaborative AI workspace where teams and agents think together https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vkpYpWfEK5s. We're building one place where your knowledge, projects, meetings, and AI tools live side by side, so work feels faster, clearer, and less fragmented. Millions of individuals, small teams, and large companies run their work on Notion. Notinos (our employees) are customer zero in bringing this future of work to life. We care about craft, humanity, and building things that last — not just shipping the next feature, but setting a standard for how modern teams (with humans and agents working together) think and execute. ABOUT US: Notion helps you build beautiful tools for your life’s work. In today's world of endless apps and tabs, Notion provides one place for teams to get everything done, seamlessly connecting docs, notes, projects, calendar, and email—with AI built in to find answers and automate work. Millions of users, from individuals to large organizations like Toyota, Figma, and OpenAI, love Notion for its flexibility and choose it because it helps them save time and money. In-person collaboration is essential to Notion's culture. We require all team members to work from our offices on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, our designated Anchor Days. Certain teams or positions may require additional in-office workdays. ABOUT THE ROLE: As a Central GTM Strategy & Operations Manager, you'll play a critical role in shaping Notion’s global go-to-market strategy and operating system. This role sits at the center of how the business measures performance, identifies risk, allocates resources, and scales revenue efficiently. You’ll partner closely with GTM Leadership, Sales, Customer Success, Finance, BizTech, Data, and Marketing teams to drive high-impact strategic initiatives and operational rigor across the GTM organization. You will own the systems, analyses, and performance narratives leadership uses to steer the business — from weekly forecast calls to long-range productivity modeling, target setting, and organizational design. You’ll operate across both strategy and execution: designing frameworks, building scalable models and automations, surfacing actionable insights, and operationalizing major GTM initiatives globally. You’ll also lead end-to-end strategic projects tied to critical GTM priorities across areas like segmentation, productivity uplift, account viability & TAM analysis, post-sales target setting & KPI selection, organizational scaling, and forecast accuracy. We are looking for someone who is a first-principles thinker, highly analytical, deeply curious about how businesses scale, and excited to build from scratch in ambiguous environments. You should be energized by solving messy operational problems, building durable systems, and influencing executive decisions through data and structured thinking. You should also be excited about rethinking how GTM organizations operate in an AI-enabled world — identifying opportunities to create leverage through automation, better systems, and faster access to actionable insights. WHAT YOU'LL ACHIEVE: - Global Performance Management & Executive Insights: Own core GTM performance reporting including forecasting, QBRs, Board updates, weekly business reviews, and ad-hoc updates. Build the systems and narratives that surface business health, risks, and opportunities for leadership decision-making. - Strategic GTM Analytics & Decision Support: Lead high-impact analyses that shape how we invest and grow, including market expansion, segmentation, coverage models, headcount allocation, and productivity optimization. - End-to-End Strategic GTM Programs: Drive high impact GTM initiatives from problem definition through execution, including forecasting redesigns, funnel efficiency improvements, post-sales target & incentive strategy, territory and motion design, quota strategy, sales profile design, and AI-enabled transformation efforts. - GTM Operating System & Process Design: Design and continuously improve the operating cadence, KPI frameworks, target methodologies, and cross-functional planning systems for Sales & Post-Sales, while ensuring other orgs (Marketing, Finance, CX, etc.) are aligned to shared GTM priorities. - Automation & AI-Driven Leverage: Identify inefficiencies and build scalable solutions using automation and AI-enabled workflows to reduce manual work, accelerate insights, and increase leverage across GTM teams. SKILLS YOU'LL NEED TO BRING: - 5+ years of experience in highly analytical, fast-paced environments (e.g., strategy & ops, finance, consulting, investment banking, or similar quantitative roles) - Strong first-principles problem solving and structured thinking, with ability to break down ambiguous business problems into clear analytical frameworks - Advanced analytical and modeling skills, including ability to conduct complex analysis in Excel/Google Sheets, SQL, or AI-assisted tools (e.g., Claude Code) - Experience designing dashboards, KPI frameworks, or performance reporting systems that drive business decisions and executive visibility - Extreme ownership mindset with track record of independently leading multi-month initiatives in ambiguous environments - Strong cross-functional communication and executive presence, with ability to influence across Sales, Customer Success, Finance, Data, and Product teams - Strong systems thinking with ability to identify inefficiencies and design scalable process improvements; you don’t need to be an AI expert, but you’re curious and willing to adopt AI tools to work smarter and deliver better results. NICE TO HAVES: - Notion power user or desire to learn -- prior Notion experience is not required, but you have the ability and desire to become a pro - Experience in a PLG or hybrid PLG + sales-led go-to-market environment - History of promotions or progressive responsibilities at work - Exposure to AI-enabled workflows or automation tools in a business context (e.g., using AI to streamline reporting, research, or operational processes) We hire talented and passionate people from a variety of backgrounds because we want our global employee base to represent the wide diversity of our customers. If you’re excited about a role but your past experience doesn’t align perfectly with every bullet point listed in the job description, we still encourage you to apply. If you’re a builder at heart, share our company values, and enthusiastic about making software toolmaking ubiquitous, we want to hear from you. Notion is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
