Job Description
Summary: Northwestern Mutual is seeking a Financial Advisor to join their dynamic team, where you will guide clients toward achieving their financial goals through personalized planning and expert advice. In this role, you will assess clients' financial situations, provide guidance on estate planning, and develop tailored financial strategies to optimize wealth growth and security.
Responsibilities:
- Assess clients’ financial situations by analyzing their income, expenses, assets, liabilities, and investment portfolios to craft customized financial plans
- Provide expert guidance on estate planning, including wills, trusts, and estate law, to help clients preserve and transfer wealth efficiently
- Conduct thorough financial analysis using advanced financial software to evaluate investment opportunities and risks
- Develop and present comprehensive financial sales proposals that align with clients’ objectives and risk tolerance
- Stay current on securities law, tax regulations, and industry best practices to ensure compliance and deliver accurate advice
- Manage client relationships through proactive communication, regular reviews, and tailored financial services that foster trust and loyalty
- Assist clients with cash management strategies, retirement planning, asset management, and portfolio management to maximize their financial growth
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience in financial services or related fields such as public accounting or corporate accounting
- Strong understanding of financial concepts including investment management, wealth management, and technical accounting principles
- Knowledge of estate planning tools like wills, trusts, and estate law is highly desirable
- Familiarity with securities law, tax experience, and research methodologies relevant to finance
- Proficiency in financial analysis software and customer relationship management (CRM) systems
- Excellent math skills combined with the ability to interpret complex financial data accurately
- Exceptional communication skills to explain intricate financial strategies clearly to clients
- A relevant degree in finance, accounting, economics or a related discipline; professional certifications such as CFP (Certified Financial Planner) are a plus
