Job Description
Summary: Northrop Grumman is a leader in technological advancements seeking an Associate Semiconductor RF Test Engineer for their Space Park Foundry Lab in Manhattan Beach, California. The role involves maintaining and performing preventative maintenance of on-wafer test stations, supporting lab infrastructure, and assisting in the mechanical assembly and repair of semiconductor testing equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Maintaining and performing preventative maintenance of on-wafer test stations
- Support lab infrastructure (lab coats, ESD certifications)
- Building basic fixtures (designing, generating drawings, and working with machine shop), electronic components (pulser box, current limiter, RF choke), cable harnesses
- Mechanical assembly of laminar flow hoods, microscopes, etc
- Repairing probes
- Maintaining test inventory
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in STEM with 0 years of related experience
- Hands-on experience in III-V Semiconductor Processing
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to analyze measurement data statistically
- US Citizenship Required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiar with on-wafer test stations
- Familiar with RF test equipment
- Familiar with mechanical drawings
- Familiar with soldering and assembling modules
- Good understanding of electrical and mechanical fundamentals
- Prior experience in a high-volume manufacturing or semiconductor test environment to help identify and improve throughput limiters
- Experience with statistical process control (SPC), yield analysis, and Six Sigma tools
- The ability to obtain and maintain a Clearance
