Job Description
Summary: Northrop Grumman is a leader in technological advancements and is seeking an Associate Electromechanical Engineer to join their team in Aurora, Colorado. The role involves collaborating on hardware design and integration, ensuring adherence to changing requirements, and supporting system-level testing and verification processes.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate on the design and integration of hardware systems ensuring adherence to changing requirements and specifications
- Finalize/update drawings, support equipment moves, rack and stack of equipment and integration of compute equipment into a shelter for deployment
- Experience/interest in power/cooling or site construction and traveling to support installation and configuration events would be a plus
- Support system-level testing and verification processes, ensuring hardware meets all specified requirements and standards
- Utilize clear technical writing to document design alterations, prepare status reports, and develop design specifications and validation plans
- Maintain a proactive attitude in meetings with cross-functional teams, demonstrating initiative and professionalism while engaging with colleagues and stakeholders
- Position may require occasional travel to support field activities and hardware deployment
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM field with 0+ years of relevant experience
- Active TS/SCI clearance at the time of application
- Experience with hardware design and integration processes
- Familiarity with power, RF, and fiber electrical signal principles and applications
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with complex system architectures and hardware validation procedures
- Demonstrated knowledge of the impacts of requirement changes on hardware design
- Knowledge of electronic components and their applications in communication systems
- Previous experience in a fast-paced engineering environment with a focus on field support operations is desirable
