Retail Stock & Fulfillment - Pentagon Center Rack

Summary: Nordstrom is a leading fashion retailer, and they are seeking a Retail Stock & Fulfillment team member. In this role, you will ensure a quick and easy customer experience while maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the store and stockrooms, as well as fulfilling customer orders efficiently. Responsibilities: - Work with the team to ensure the salesfloor stays "runway ready", and is sized and filled in through re-merchandising and straightening throughout the day - Assist customers when cashiering with a variety of transactions across different platforms (in-store, online and mobile), which includes operating a point-of-sale system, bagging items of all size, handling bulky sometimes heavy items including boxes, and ensuring a seamless and friendly experience - Create a smooth fitting room experience when supporting as a fitting room attendant by greeting and assisting customers and sorting and returning clothing to the floor - Create a clean and clutter-free customer experience by sorting and returning clothing to the salesfloor - Keep the stockrooms organized and ensure merchandise is properly checked in and accurately ticketed - Demonstrate expertise in all technologies used in the store environment - Adhere to all operational, merchandise and asset protection standards - Promote initiatives like our Nordstrom Rewards program - Receive, unload freight, unpack and deliver newly arrived merchandise to selling departments - Fulfill customer orders in a timely manner following quality standards - Prepare and ship customer’s orders following quality, packing and shipping standards - Utilize inventory management systems to scan, process and research merchandise shipments in accordance with our inventory control processes - Assist in maintaining clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms - Provide general support to the store, e.g. set up special events, organize backroom, markdowns, and relocate store fixtures Required Qualifications: - Clear, effective communication with strong interpersonal skills - Accountability, initiative and a high level of ownership - Organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment - The ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs - Continuous movement for 6-8 hours per shift, which includes frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing and reaching in order to handle merchandise and assist customers - Frequent use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling - Handle bulky and sometimes awkwardly shaped items, which includes reaching for and lifting these items above the head - Regularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds - Stock and Fulfillment Only: Frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds Required Skills: Point-of-sale system operation, Inventory management systems, Merchandise ticketing, Order fulfillment, Packing, shipping standards, prioritize tasks Benefits: Medical/Vision, Dental, Retirement and Paid Time Away, Life Insurance and Disability, Merchandise Discount and EAP Resources, 401k, Medical/vision/dental/life/disability insurance options, PTO accruals, Holidays
