Early Start - Retail Stock & Fulfillment - NYC Flagship

Summary: Nordstrom is a leading fashion retailer, and they are seeking an Early Start - Retail Stock & Fulfillment employee for their NYC Flagship store. The role involves receiving and unpacking merchandise, fulfilling customer orders, and maintaining organized selling floors and stockrooms to ensure outstanding customer experiences. Responsibilities: - Receive, unload freight, unpack and deliver newly arrived merchandise to selling departments - Fulfill customer orders in a timely manner following quality standards - Prepare and ship customer orders following quality, packing and shipping standards - Utilize inventory management systems to scan, process and research merchandise shipments in accordance with our inventory control processes - Assist in maintaining clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms - Provide general support to the store, e.g. setting up special events, organizing backroom, markdowns, and relocating store fixtures Required Qualifications: - A high level of ownership, accountability and initiative - Had success working in a fast-paced environment thanks to your ability to prioritize multiple tasks - Organizational skills and attention to detail - The skills to use a variety of technology and new computer applications - The ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs - Continuous movement for 6-8 hours per shift, which includes frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing and reaching in order to handle merchandise and assist customers - Frequent use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling - Handle bulky and sometimes awkwardly shaped items, which includes reaching for and lifting these items above the head - Regularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds - Frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds Required Skills: Inventory management systems, Technology use, Computer applications, prioritize multiple tasks Benefits: Medical/Vision, Dental, Retirement and Paid Time Away, Life Insurance and Disability, Merchandise Discount and EAP Resources, 401k, Medical/vision/dental/life/disability insurance options, PTO accruals, Holidays
