Summary: NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital is offering a Summer 2026 Undergraduate Internship Program in Environmental Health and Safety. This program provides undergraduate students with hands-on exposure to regulatory compliance inspections, occupational safety initiatives, and risk reduction strategies in a healthcare environment. Responsibilities: - Provide administrative and operational support to environmental health and occupational safety initiatives, including documentation, project tracking, and compliance activities - Assist with data analysis, trending, and reporting related to incident management, indoor environmental quality, waste management, and regulatory programs - Create presentations and reports using Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) to support regulatory readiness, safety committee meetings, and program updates - Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization, including Facilities, Nursing, Infection Prevention, Emergency Management, and others - Support rounding and assist in identifying potential hazards related to life safety, chemical safety, and environmental controls - Participate in EHS program assessments and gap analyses Required Qualifications: - Must be enrolled in a Bachelor's Degree Program as a rising sophomore or junior - Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) - Strong problem solving and communication skills Preferred Qualifications: - Major in Environmental Health and Safety or related program Required Skills: Microsoft Office Important Skills: Environmental Health, Occupational Safety Nice-to-Have Skills: Problem Solving, Communication Skills Internship Start Date: Start in 2026 Summer Benefits: Comprehensive and competitive benefits that support you and your family in every aspect of life
