Sustainable implementation of high-quality curriculum is the most important driver of that aim and supports the growth of teachers, administrators, counselors, and librarians at various stages throughout their careers. We aspire to ground our C&I work in a set of shared elements. We start with an understanding of how students learn; we organize around adult learning principles to support teachers and school leaders; we embed opportunities to modify curriculum materials for specific classroom contexts or student needs; and we organize everything around continuous improvement, to get better over time.
Under the guidance and supervision of the Lead Program Evaluation Manager, the Program Evaluation Specialist ensures the integrity and flow of data across Curriculum & Instruction initiatives. This role supports the monitoring of implementation activities (tracking participation and outputs) and program evaluation (maintaining high-quality datasets on educator practice and student outcomes). By ensuring that data from every stage of the project lifecycle is collected, analyzed, and visualized within efficient digital systems, the Specialist provides the essential foundation for both real-time project management and long-term impact analysis.

- Manage data dashboards and customized views, ensuring that diverse information—such as district/school contact lists and program outputs—is correctly categorized, linked, and accessible to project teams.
- Refine data collection tools and workflows to minimize burden on implementing teams while maximizing the quality and utility of the information gathered;
- Perform regular data cleaning and validation to resolve discrepancies, update information, and maintain the accuracy of all reporting systems.
- Track and report on data completion rates, proactively identifying gaps in collection and coordinating with teams to ensure comprehensive datasets.
- Monitor progress toward contract and funding deliverables, tracking completion rates against established targets and proactively flagging potential gaps to the evaluation team and project leads.
- Support internal sense-making efforts by assisting in the analysis and visualization of data to help C&I understand and communicate their impact on educator practice and student outcomes.
