Research Intern

Summary: Nationwide Children's Hospital is a healthcare institution focused on pediatric care, and they are seeking a Research Intern to assist in research studies and experiments. The role involves gathering and analyzing data, preparing reports, and performing administrative tasks under supervision. Responsibilities: - Obtains supplies and equipment needed for research projects and ensures they in proper working condition - Assists in laboratory analysis and data interpretation - Assists in the preparation and drafting of research proposals and reports, collecting and collating supporting data - Organizes and maintains laboratory records - Maintains clean laboratory area and equipment - Follows all safety protocols and procedures Required Qualifications: - Enrollment in High School or an accredited undergraduate, graduate, or doctorate program - Interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills to interact efficiently with various audiences - Ability to work a flexible schedule with occasional after hours support - Ability to obtain supplies and equipment needed for research projects and ensure they are in proper working condition - Ability to assist in laboratory analysis and data interpretation - Ability to assist in the preparation and drafting of research proposals and reports, collecting and collating supporting data - Ability to organize and maintain laboratory records - Ability to maintain a clean laboratory area and equipment - Ability to follow all safety protocols and procedures - Physical ability to perform tasks such as bending/twisting, lifting/carrying, and standing/walking as specified in the physical requirements section Important Skills: Data interpretation, Laboratory analysis Nice-to-Have Skills: Computer skills, Interpersonal skills, Presentation skills, Communication skills
