Lead Cyber Automation and AI Engineer
Location: Glasgow, United Kingdom
We'reseeking someone to join our Data Protection team as an Automation and Artificial Intelligence (AI) lead in Cyber to lead with the implementation of automations and effective usage of Artificial Intelligencein order todrive efficiencies across the department.
This role requires a deep technicalexpertisein complex enterprise technologiesin order toidentifythe opportunity for, design and drive the delivery of effective automations to realise efficiencies and process simplifications. A practical understanding of the implementation of AI and practical knowledge of cybersecurity products will also become crucial to the role. The successful candidate might be an infrastructure specialist ora strong systemadmin, with experience of scripting and task automation, or a system technical lead today, looking to focus and evolve automations as a practice area. Linux and general system architecture troubleshooting are therefore essential to the role and hands-on experience with Python or other automationtoolsand a strong aptitude to learn or grow these skills isrequired. The role offers the opportunity to work on every aspect of our internally built systems, which includes connectivity to multiple database platforms, ETL, web and containerinfrastructureand a range of other technologies.
Prior experience in the financial industry is notrequired; candidates from software companies and other industries are welcome. Whatyou'lldo in the role:
Define and execute the strategy forautomationand efficienciesacross theFleet, with a view toextend those practices across the Department.
Oversee the development and implementation ofefficiencies through automationsand AIina robust security framework across globalcyber security operations and development.
Lead cross-functional initiatives toleveragepractices whichexpeditethe integration ofsecurityand security systemsinto all aspects of the business.
Act as anAutomations andAIsubject matter expert (SME)within the organization to provide executive leadership and guidance on all aspects ofArtificial Intelligenceto the organization, includingcontributing tostrategicplanningaroundthreats and vulnerabilities.
Manage relationships with key stakeholders,technical leads and potentially auditorsandregulators.
Champion the useand reuse of automations andappropriate implementationofartificial intelligencein order toenforce aculture across the organization.
Oversee the allocation of resources and budget to achieve strategic security,throughputand efficiencyobjectives.
Whatyou'llbring to the role:
Deephands-onexperienceoftask automation(principally in the Linuxand web/cloudenvironments)
Strong ability tocommunicate andpresent information in a clear and concise manner to technology and business leadership. Experiencemanaging budgets and/or resourceswould be beneficial.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Extensive knowledge and experience of a variety ofautomationtooling andArtificial Intelligence resources, includingdesign and implementation ofautomations/AI capabilitiesinto technology processes.
Strong experience in leading cross-functional initiatives and integratingsolutionsintoexistingprocesses(ideallywithinacomplexCybersecurityframework)
Ability to manage relationships withmultiple parties includingkey stakeholders,technical teams and potentiallyauditorsorregulators.
Exceptional leadership and team-building skills, with a focus on fostering a culturewhich promotesefficiencies and the effective use of AI.
At least 8 years' relevant experience wouldgenerally beexpected to find the skillsrequiredfor this role.
