About the role
This is a senior leadership opportunity to shape Microsoft’s growth across some of Australia’s most dynamic industries including Manufacturing and Energy.
As Sales Director in the Enterprise Commercial (EC) business, you will lead strategy and execution across your portfolio, driving sustained growth while helping customers unlock value from cloud and AI.
You will be a sales-first leader with strong technical fluency, able to credibly engage with C-suite business leaders and technology stakeholders.
You will be a key member of the ANZ EC leadership team, reporting to the EC Lead.
You will lead a team of Account Executives and Account Technology Strategists, bringing together Microsoft’s full commercial and technical capability, from solution specialists to partners, to deliver outcomes that matter for customers.
This role is about more than delivering results. It is about building long-term partnerships, shaping industry direction, and creating an environment where your team can do their best work and grow their careers.
This role can be based in Sydney, Brisbane or Melbourne.
Responsibilities
Set the direction for your portfolio by defining and delivering a clear growth strategy, aligned to industry priorities and market opportunity
Own and deliver against revenue targets, driving disciplined sales execution and accountability across the team
Demonstrate strong technical knowledge to enable high-impact customer conversations
Lead complex deal orchestration including multi-year, multi-solution engagements
Lead, coach and develop a team, supporting capability growth and progression
Build trusted relationships with senior executives and position Microsoft as a partner in business transformation
Represent Microsoft as the ANZ Manufacturing and Energy industry leader and partner across regional and global teams
Translate customer priorities into account strategies that drive AI and cloud adoption
Leverage partner ecosystems through effective co-sell execution
Maintain a well-run business with clear forecasting, quality pipeline management and consistent execution
Align Microsoft capabilities to customer priorities to deliver measurable business value
Contribute to the broader EC leadership team through collaboration and shared insights.
Qualifications
Extensive experience leading enterprise sales teams, including direct people leadership
Experience leading large-scale enterprise transformation initiatives
Proven track record delivering against revenue targets
Experience driving growth across complex, multi-stakeholder account environments
Effective communication and executive engagement, including building relationships and operating as a trusted strategic advisor at C-suite level
Strong stakeholder leadership, influencing, and cross-functional collaboration skills across business and technical teams.
Experience leading multi-solution sales across technical, commercial and partner teams.
