Intern- Process Engineering

Summary: Microchip Technology Inc. is a global organization that designs technology powering the world. They are seeking an intern to provide engineering project support in Ion Implantation, assisting in process recipe creation and tool optimization. Responsibilities: - Daily activities include working with a process engineer to complete projects critical to our production and quality goals - Must be able to work with minimal oversight and be able to obtain quick meaningful progress independently Required Qualifications: - Currently enrolled in a four-year or graduate program in Electrical, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering or Physics - Good problem solving track record - Ability to learn and develop expertise in new software applications specific to Microchip manufacturing, automation, and control systems - Basic programming skills required - Must be able to work in a clean room environment - Must be local to the area for the duration of the internship - Able to lift, push, pull approx. 50 lbs; carry 50 lbs; sit 5%; stand 60%; walk 35% Required Skills: Process recipe creation, Process tool optimization, Programming, Clean room environment Benefits: Benefits of working at Microchip
