Job Description:
This position will be a key contributor to the success of the Colorado Springs Manufacturing location by supporting the Windows and Linux servers, VMware, network, desktop, storage, and application environments. A successful candidate will work independently while taking directions from the Colorado Springs infrastructure Manager. The candidate must have strong troubleshooting and analytical skills, be able to understand complex documentation relating to the environment being supported and possess excellent customer service skills.

Gain technical proficiency with tools, policies, procedures and supporting technologies:
Process changes: contribute to the plan and analysis.
Automated systems: explain system configuration settings and options.
Application programs: contribute to analysis, design, evaluation, testing, debugging, and implementation.
Be proficient with computer languages and software used by vendors supplied manufacturing applications.
Be able to troubleshoot problems and feedback results for vendor reconciliation.
Operating systems, databases, applications, and/or utility software: contribute to analysis, acquisition, installation, modification, and support.
Perform other job-related tasks assigned by the manager.
Requirements/Qualifications:
BS/MS Degrees in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or equivalent.
Perform VMware/Windows/Linux Server maintenance and support. Includes physical server configuration/installation.
Be able to create images, deploy software, and troubleshoot vendor supplied applications.
Set up and configure network printers.
Troubleshoot SAN related issues.
Perform wireless access point device installations and troubleshoot WIFI issues.
Perform network device configuration/installation and wiring activities.
Add new devices to LAN and Active Directory.
Troubleshoot network related issues (Serial, TCP/IP, LAN, WAN).
Assist with maintaining computing devices in an office and clean room environment.
Provide quality desktop and fab application support.
Assist with resolving desktop software and desktop hardware problems for end-users.
Maintain systems in-line with site and corporate direction and policies.
Maintain accurate inventory of computing devices and software.
Assist with maintaining technical documentation of tribal and learned knowledge in an electronic format.
Work closely as needed with Vendors and Employees to resolve technical issues.
Use Corporate IT ticketing environment to log and monitor customer questions, issues, and problems through to resolution/completion
Work independently with minimal supervision, be self-directed and self-led.
Work with complex documentation relating to computing environment.
Maintain IT security protocols within the computing environment.
Work with both a technical and non-technical user community.
Must have the ability to study current practices, think outside the box, and foster creative analysis to solve complex problems.
Be able to quickly adapt to priority changes.
Be able to work autonomously in researching issues and come to viable and relevant solutions.
Preferred experience in a data center infrastructure environment.
Critical Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift 35 lbs; push 80 lbs, pull approx. 80 lbs; carry 35 lbs; sit 20%; stand 40%; walk 40%; must be able to perform activities that include bending at waist, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, crawling, handling, feeling, hearing, talking, seeing. Able to reach arm’s length under floor tiles and into port holes; able to climb stairs; able to use up to 6’ ladder; able to use up to 3’ step stool. Able to work for long periods in a clean room environment wearing full clean-room suit attire. Able to work in all levels and areas of the building where equipment and cabling may be present.
This is classified as a safety sensitive position.

The annual base salary range for this position, which could be performed in the US, is $70,304 - $143,000.*
*Range is dependent on numerous factors including job location, skills and experience.
