Because what we do matters – to us as valued professionals and to the millions of people and institutions who rely on us to help them build more secure and prosperous futures.
THE ROLE
The Sr. Manager – Product Owner, Investment Research is responsible for defining and delivering the product vision, roadmap, and execution of core platforms that support the firm’s investment research ecosystem. This includes ownership of the firm’s research management system and related sustainability and analytics capabilities.
The role focuses on building scalable, well‑designed platforms and design patterns that enable investor workflows across fundamental, quantitative, and sustainability use cases, while supporting the firm’s broader investment technology modernization strategy. This role partners closely with investment leadership, data, and technology teams to translate complex research, risk, and regulatory needs into durable product outcomes that materially improve investor productivity.
This role requires deep domain expertise across investment research workflows, sustainability integration, and modern software platforms, and operates with a high degree of independence across complex, cross‑functional initiatives.

Partner closely with senior investment leadership and the Chief Product Owner for Investment Research and Investment AI and senior technologists to inform, prioritize and sequence the investment research product roadmap.
Serve as the primary product interface across investors, sustainability, data leadership, and technology, translating investment, risk, regulatory, and client needs into a prioritized and actionable backlog.
Build strong partnerships with investors, understanding how they leverage quantitative analytics, sustainability data, and risk metrics to inform investment decisions.
Ensure consistent access to trusted, high-quality data across quantitative and sustainability ecosystems, aligned to strategic data stores and golden source principles.
Apply deep understanding of key research workflows, including:
Research content creation, consumption, publication, and rating application
Rating propagation and inheritance across equity and fixed income structures
Sustainability integration at both issuer and portfolio levels
Design platforms and data infrastructure that are scalable, cloud-aware, and integration-ready, supporting systematic consumption by quantitative investors, and AI-enabled investment workflows.
Leverage emerging technologies, including AI‑enabled capabilities, to accelerate delivery, enhance investor workflows, and improve platform scalability and maintainability.
Champion modern product and software development practices including Agile delivery, disciplined backlog management, and continuous improvement across the product lifecycle.
Ensure the development team understands items in the backlog to the level needed, plan iterations, and ensure user stories meet standards.
Actively manages external dependencies and impediments that could impact the team’s completion of Release/Sprint Goals.
Participates in scrum ceremonies (Scrum, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Planning, Sprint Review, and Retrospective) and longer-term planning exercises (Road Mapping, Release Planning), proactively partnering with other product owners.
Partner with Scrum Masters and technology leadership to manage delivery within agreed funding, capacity, and scope constraints.
Proactively manage dependencies, risks, and impediments that may impact delivery, escalating and resolving issues as appropriate.
Assume additional responsibilities in support of strategic departmental or firm‑wide initiatives as needed.
