Treatment Plant Intern

Summary: The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District provides wastewater and storm water management services, and they are seeking a Treatment Plant Intern to gain hands-on experience in water treatment processes. The intern will work alongside professionals in various aspects of the wastewater treatment cycle, including system monitoring, data collection, and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations. Responsibilities: - Gain hands-on experience in water treatment processes, operations, and maintenance - Work alongside skilled professionals in various aspects of the wastewater treatment cycle - Monitor systems, collect and analyze data, troubleshoot equipment, and ensure compliance with environmental regulations Required Qualifications: - Candidates must be currently enrolled in the ERTC Program at SIUE - Pursuant to MSD's 'Substance Abuse Policy and Procedures', this position has been designated as safety sensitive and candidate must pass a Non-D.O.T. Drug Test for this position. Employees occupying this position are not subject to Federal (D.O.T.)
