Internship in Purchasing (International Intern)

Summary: Mercedes-Benz is a leading automotive manufacturer committed to excellence and innovation. They are seeking an intern to support their purchasing department through various tasks including supplier discussions, data analysis, and project management. Responsibilities: - Support in all commercial discussions with suppliers that collaborate with MBUSI - General support in activities related to purchasing department, including future sourcing projects and cross functional meeting coordination - Verify data accuracy from suppliers for the processing of claims; Provide appropriate feedback to suppliers - Analyze supplier claims and help plausibilize costs (under general supervision) - Organize and support team meetings and communications - Lead responsibility from purchasing department for managing waste reduction project; Work cross functionally across MBUSI to implement and scale process - Preparation of reports and presentations for management - Participate in various negotiations with suppliers - Support in other purchasing tasks Required Qualifications: - Currently enrolled in University or in a gap year between Bachelor's and Master's degree - Studies outside of the U.S.A (we are not accepting applications from students who are currently studying in the U.S.A) - A minimum of 3 semesters of studies in relevant field of study - Available for a minimum of 6 months - Student in: Finance/Controlling, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or in a related area, and/or the equivalent combination of education and experience - Microsoft Office (Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, OneNote) - PowerBi - Project management experience - Team work and collaboration Preferred Qualifications: - Preferred knowledge of AM Supply - Cost Engineering Required Skills: Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote, Power BI, Cost Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Project Management Benefits: Coverage of visa costs, $700 housing bonus
