Job Description
Summary: Mercedes-Benz is committed to building exceptional vehicles and careers, and they are seeking an intern for a project management support role in their Future Systems Landscape 2.0 project. The intern will manage day-to-day project needs, support process documentation, analyze data for improvements, and develop logistics performance metrics.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and organize day to day project needs, the project structure, time line and due dates
- Support process documentation into data base and translate German process steps
- Analyze Transit Times and Propose Improvements
- Analyze historical data to understand trends and propose data driven changes
- Create Visual Dashboards for Global Supply Chain Insights
- Develop Metrics to Track Global Logistics Performance
- Develop a Risk Management Framework for Customs Compliance
- Identify and Implement Cost Savings in International Transport
- Attend daily team meetings, support the Warehouse Administration team, coordinate project meetings
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or in a related area, and/or the equivalent combination of education and experience
- Fluent in English and German
- Project management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (including PowerPoint and Excel)
- Experience with BIC Process Design and SAP Signavio
- Currently enrolled in University or in a gap year between Bachelor's and Master's degree
- Studies outside of the U.S.A (we are not accepting applications from students who are currently studying in the U.S.A)
- A minimum of 3 semesters of studies in relevant field of study
- Available for a minimum of 6 months
