A Day in the Life
Our Cardiac Rhythm Management Operating Unit is looking for a Test Technician II to help support their Mechanical Test and Analysis Lab. This onsite role will contribute to the development, testing, and analysis of Leads, Catheters, Devices, and Instruments for cardiac pacing therapies and defibrillation solutions.
Our Cardiac Rhythm Management Operating Unit offers devices and therapies that treat patients with abnormal heart rhythms and heart failure. It is comprised of four key businesses: Cardiac Pacing Therapies, Defibrillation Solutions, Patient Management, and Procedure Innovations. Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
Follow test method instructions in preparing test samples, conducting a test, and exporting results involving leads, catheters, and cardiac devices
Support development of new test methods, measurement techniques, and fixtures
Organize, prepare, and present technical information in a clear, effective and skillful manner to peers, engineers and management
Direct the activities of junior technicians to ensure project milestones are completed correctly and on schedule
Coordinate and execute test equipment calibrations, repairs and troubleshooting
Manage basic lab functions including materials and equipment procurement, lab layout and facilities supply
Be responsive to changes in work direction and develop creative plans for meeting aggressive business milestones
Nice to Haves:
Vocational or technical education or certification in addition to prior work experience
Knowledge of lead and catheter design, processing, and material property testing, including fatigue
Hands-on experience with TA Instruments and/or Instron electromechanical fatigue test frames
Familiarity with FDA and MDR regulations
Knowledge to maintain the PCs running test equipment. Installing various hardware into PC enclosures and installing drivers. Backup PC hard drives via imaging software
Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.

Benefits & Compensation
Medtronic offers a competitive Salary and flexible Benefits Package
Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$49,600.00 - $74,400.00
This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).
The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
