Patient Service Representative / Ophthalmology / Monday – Friday!

They are seeking an outgoing and professional Patient Service Representative to join a reputable ophthalmology practice. The role involves greeting patients, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and maintaining accurate records in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: - Greet and check in patients, in a friendly and professional manner - Answer phone calls and route messages - Schedule and confirm patient appointments - Obtain and verify insurance information and patient demographics - Collect co-pays and balances - Assist with referrals, authorizations and prior approvals - Scan and upload patient documents, and maintain accurate records - Maintain HIPAA compliance at all times Required Qualifications: - Strong customer service and communication skills Preferred Qualifications: - 1+ year experience in a medical office, front desk or call center roll - Prior ophthalmology or retina experience - Prior EMR experience Required Skills: Customer service Important Skills: Ophthalmology experience, EMR experience Nice-to-Have Skills: Medical office experience Benefits: Health insurance, Dental insurance, Vision insurance, 401(k), Paid time off
