Field Engineer - Heavy Civil Construction

Summary: McMillen, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Field Engineer – Heavy Civil Construction for projects in the Southern central region of the U.S. This role involves project planning, scheduling, procurement, and providing technical and administrative support to project teams. Responsibilities: - Performs scheduling of the project - Manages revenue, cost, and cash flow - Contracts, manages and coordinates sub-contractors and product vendors - Participates in the preparation and implementation of permanent design management and quality control - Oversees project closeout - Maintains close contact and good working relationships with client representatives - Assists in Operations planning - Administers contracts and subcontracts - Develops and maintains owner relations Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree is highly desired in the related fields of Construction Management or Engineering - 0-3 years' working experience in construction or engineering - Ability to read, analyze, and identify discrepancies on engineering plans, specifications, and contract documents - An excellent understanding of pre-construction and construction processes - Must work collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation - Respectfully takes direction and adheres to feedback from site superintendent and project managers - Maintains punctual, regular and predictable attendance in accordance with project and company work hours - Strong computer skills with MS Office, Primavera is a plus, Heavy Job/Heavy Bid is a plus - Regular, predictable attendance is required - Ability to get along and work effectively with others Required Skills: Construction Management, Engineering plans analysis, Pre-construction processes, Construction processes, MS Office, Primavera, Heavy Job/Heavy Bid, take direction Benefits: McMillen provides a full Benefits Program comprising medical, dental, vision, life, disability, FSA, HSA, EAP, 401(k) and match, 9 paid holidays, generous PTO, opportunity for stock ownership, and wellness reimbursement., Field Engineer – Heavy Civil Construction assigned to projects more than 70 miles from their residence are eligible for subsistence and home leave benefits., We also offer a company truck or vehicle allowance, along with mobile phone options.
