Maintenance Technician

Summary: MAXX Properties has a long-standing reputation for trust and commitment to its residents and team members. They are seeking a dependable and experienced Maintenance Technician to join their team at The Ellery Apartments in Plantation, responsible for preparing vacant apartments and responding to resident service requests. Responsibilities: - Prepare or assist in preparing vacant apartments to a market ready-condition - Respond to resident service requests (light bulb changes, minor HVAC, caulking, appliance repairs, filter changes, etc.) - Perform on-call emergency service as required - Assist the Maintenance Supervisor on special maintenance projects as needed - Assist with keeping grounds and common areas free of trash and debris Required Qualifications: - A minimum of 1 year of residential maintenance experience including work orders and turns - Basic to moderate electrical, plumbing, HVAC, appliance repairs and general maintenance skills - Energetic, responsible and organized - A true team-player mentality Preferred Qualifications: - EPA Universal is highly preferred Required Skills: Residential Maintenance, Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, Appliance Repairs, EPA Universal Certification Benefits: Annual reimbursement of $100 for the purchase of new work boots AND an additional $100 reimbursement for the purchase of industry related work tools, 17 Days of PTO (accrual based) to START with an additional day of PTO with each year of service (5 unused days of PTO can carry over to the following year), 40 hours of Sick and Safe Time (100% of unused Sick and Safe hours can be carried over to the following year), Industry competitive salary with monthly renewal, on-call and SatisFacts bonuses, One of the most comprehensive benefits packages in the industry, Rental discounts at any MAXX Property effective on your first day, Tuition reimbursement towards work-related courses (CAM-T, EPA, CPO) of up to $2,500/year, Reimbursement on children’s education/extra-curricular activities (up to $750/year), $500 Employee Referral Program
