3rd Shift Shipping Supervisor – Bloomfield, CT

Summary: Mattress Warehouse is the largest and fastest-growing bedding specialty retailer in the United States, operating over 540 stores across 20 states. They are seeking a motivated Overnight Warehouse Supervisor to lead their night operations team, ensuring operational efficiency, inventory accuracy, and safety compliance while overseeing a crew of warehouse associates. Responsibilities: - Lead, supervise, and motivate a team of warehouse associates - Ensure all relay trailers are loaded accurately and safely - Oversee timely completion of nightly loading and unloading operations - Maintain high standards for product accuracy and damage prevention - Enforce company policies and hold team members accountable - Ensure safe and efficient operation of warehouse equipment - Optimize warehouse space and workflow efficiencies - Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment - Assist management with quarterly inventory processes - Train, coach, evaluate, and develop associates - Create schedules and assign workloads appropriately - Ensure compliance with OSHA and all safety standards - Build positive working relationships with associates and vendors - Identify opportunities to improve warehouse procedures and reduce operational costs - Support recruiting, hiring, and onboarding efforts - Assist with additional operational duties as needed Required Qualifications: - Minimum 1 year of warehouse or distribution experience - Minimum 1 year of supervisory or management experience - Strong leadership and communication skills - Excellent attendance and reliability - Ability to multitask and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment Preferred Qualifications: - Material Handling Equipment experience - RF Gun and inventory management systems experience - Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook Required Skills: Warehouse Operations, Material Handling Equipment, RF Gun, Inventory Management Systems, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, OSHA Compliance Benefits: Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance, Supplemental Life Insurance, 401(k) with Company Match, Short-Term / Long-Term Disability, Life & AD&D Insurance, Referral Bonus Program – Earn $500 for referring friends, family, or former coworkers, Employee Discounts on Mattress Purchase, Nationally recognized discount program, Tenure Recognition Programs
