Job Description
Summary: Mass General Brigham is a not-for-profit organization that supports patient care, research, and community service. They are seeking a summer intern to assist in studying the regulatory logic behind the generation of molecularly diverse neurons in the mouse auditory system, providing hands-on learning experience in molecular neuroscience research.
Responsibilities:
- Internship duties are based on department requirements and school course of study
- Detailed description to be provided by host department
Required Qualifications:
- Currently working toward a Bachelor's degree and majoring in the biological or related sciences
- Some experience in wet lab research is required
- May be required to work with hazardous materials
- May occasionally be required to lift, move, and transport laboratory equipment
- Detail-oriented
- Excellent organization skills
- Can multi-task efficiently
- Loves to learn new concepts and techniques related to studies of the nervous system
Required Skills: Handling live mice, Tissue dissection, Tissue processing, Tissue sectioning, situ hybridization, Immunohistochemistry, Buffer and reagent preparation, Gel electrophoresis, Imaging, Epifluorescence microscopy, Confocal microscopy, Wet lab research
