We are seeking a talented individual to join our Data Analytics & Insight team at Marsh Risk. This role will be based in Mumbai. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
We will count on you to:
Have a good understanding of UK insurance market (Whitespace digital e-trading platform would be a plus), leveraging deep knowledge of SQL, Python, and Databricks to extract, transform, and analyze data.
Collaborate with the UK Aviation team to develop innovative business solutions and growth initiatives using data engineering and analytics capabilities.
Build and maintain data pipelines and workflows in Databricks, optimizing performance and ensuring data quality.
Develop and maintain SQL queries and Python scripts to manipulate large datasets and generate actionable insights.
Design and deliver visually compelling dashboards and reports primarily using Power BI.
Analyze data from legacy systems and present key statistics and KPIs to stakeholders to support decision-making.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to align analytics outputs with business objectives and strategy.
What you need to have:
Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science/Statistics/Mathematics/Economics/ Engineering discipline
4-6 years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or reporting with strong hands-on expertise in SQL, Python, and Databricks.
Strong data engineering skills including data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
Ability to work with large datasets and complex data models.
Strong data visualization skills with experience in Power BI.
Excellent problem-solving, critical-thinking, and communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to work with complex data sets.
Advanced proficiency in SQL for data querying and manipulation.
Strong programming skills in Python for data analysis and automation.
Hands-on experience with Databricks on cloud platforms (Azure or AWS) focusing on data engineering and analytics.
Knowledge of data pipeline optimization and cloud data services.
Experience with Power BI for dashboard creation and data visualization; familiarity Power Apps is highly desirable.
Institutionalize the business and domain knowledge gained through Knowledge management principles and techniques
Collaborate effectively with stakeholders and team members to deliver high-quality analytics & engineering solutions.
