Job Description
Summary: Marotta Controls is a leading company in the Aerospace & Defense industry, recognized as a Top Workplace in New Jersey. The Manufacturing Engineering Internship/Co-Op offers students hands-on experience in design, production, quality, and test/development engineering, allowing them to apply their academic knowledge to real-world projects while working alongside industry experts.
Responsibilities:
- Support the design and analysis of electrical motor production processes and systems
- Participate in fixture design
- Assist with assembly procedures, technical documentation, and test reports
- Contribute to design reviews and product improvement initiatives
- Apply your 3D CAD skills (Pro-E/Creo preferred) in a fast-paced environment
- Analyze Current and proposed production processes and suggest/implement continuous improvements
- Conduct Process Observations such as time studies
- Report out estimated and actual cost savings tied to continuous improvement efforts
- Create and implement equipment guides and controls
Required Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering program
- Strong GPA and excellent grades in core engineering courses
- Proficiency in 3D CAD (Pro-E/Creo preferred)
- Detail-oriented, precise, and organized with strong problem-solving skills
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Availability to work full-time onsite beginning September 2026 through the end of December 2026
