Intern - Industrial IoT & Automation

Summary: Marmon Foodservice Technologies is part of the global industrial organization Marmon Holdings, backed by Berkshire Hathaway. They are seeking an Industrial IoT & Automation Intern to contribute to the modernization of factory operations and collaborate with engineers and data specialists on digital systems. Responsibilities: - Assist with deploying and optimizing industrial IoT systems across manufacturing sites - Manage integration of PLCs, SCADA, and SQL databases with Ignition - Analyze operational data to identify performance improvement opportunities - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement digital solutions Required Qualifications: - Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field - Must be actively enrolled in a degree seeking program during the internship or returning to school afterward - Available to work during the internship period (10-12 Weeks in the summer of 2026) - Able to provide own housing and transportation for the duration of the internship - Successfully complete a background check and drug screen as a condition of employment - Familiarity with industrial automation systems (PLCs, SCADA) - Basic understanding of SQL or Python and data visualization tools - Strong problem-solving and communication skills - Interest or experience in lean manufacturing principles and supporting continuous improvement initiatives based on data insights Required Skills: Industrial automation systems, PLCs, SCADA, SQL, Python, Data visualization, Lean manufacturing Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k matching, And more!
