Infrastructure Intern 2026

Summary: MarketAxess is on a journey to digitally transform one of the world’s largest financial markets, enabling a shift to a fully electronic marketplace. The Infrastructure Intern will gain hands-on experience in managing enterprise IT systems while assisting senior engineers in infrastructure design, maintenance, and automation. Responsibilities: - Assist in installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and software systems (servers, networks, storage devices) - Support cloud infrastructure tasks, including monitoring and optimization of AWS/Azure environments - Participate in network troubleshooting, performance monitoring, and documentation updates - Help implement security measures and compliance standards across infrastructure components - Contribute to automation initiatives using scripting and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools - Perform data backup and recovery tasks, ensuring system reliability - Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure projects and service desk escalations - Document processes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps for knowledge sharing Required Qualifications: - Working towards a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field graduating between December 2026 and May 2027 - Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN) and operating systems (Windows/Linux) - Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and virtualization technologies - Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team - Excellent communication and documentation skills - Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to a fast-paced environment Required Skills: AWS, Azure, Networking concepts Important Skills: Scripting, Documentation skills Nice-to-Have Skills: Problem-solving, Teamwork, Adaptability Internship Start Date: Start in 2026
