Engineering Intern

Summary: MANTECH is seeking a motivated Engineering Intern to join their team in Silverdale, WA. The intern will provide technical support for the Naval Surface Warfare Center's Acoustic Trials Program, assisting with engineering activities related to acoustics systems and collaborating with senior engineers. Responsibilities: - Supporting complex engineering activities related to acoustics systems, including the maintenance and development of specialized databases - Work alongside senior engineers to provide hands-on technical assistance, data acquisition support, and the generation of technical documentation essential for the Acoustic Trials Program Required Qualifications: - Active DoD Secret clearance - Current full-time student pursuing a BS in Engineering or a related field with a projected graduation date no sooner than May 2027 - Foundational knowledge of engineering concepts and technical standards - Strong interest and desire to work in an Acoustics Engineering environment supporting the US Navy - Must be able to remain stationary for 50% of the time - Occasional waterfront support in an industrial warehouse or maritime environment - Occasional work in outdoor environments, including varying weather conditions, when performing field validations - Ability to assist with equipment setup, test and calibration, and the fabrication of cable assemblies or electronic test fixtures as required Preferred Qualifications: - Experience collaborating with multi-disciplinary engineering and technical staff - Strong skills in mathematical computation and familiarity with software development or hardware-software interfacing - Exposure to acoustics-related data analysis tools or database management software Required Skills: Acoustics systems, Mathematical computation, Software development, Hardware-software interfacing, Data acquisition, Database management
