Job Description
Summary: Macy's is a storied retail company that has been part of America's fabric for over 160 years. The Retail Fulfillment and Receiving Support Associate will support store operations by maintaining inventory accuracy and ensuring a smooth customer experience through various tasks including receiving merchandise, organizing stock, and fulfilling online orders.
Responsibilities:
- Play an essential role in supporting store operations, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring a smooth customer experience
- Receiving and organizing merchandise, picking, packing, processing trailers, retrieving orders from back-of-house storage and delivering them curbside to the customer
- Monitor alerts to ensure Ready on Time completion of Buy Online Pickup In-Store (BOPS) orders, and help keep the stockroom and sales floor running efficiently
- Greet shoppers warmly, resolve issues, and deliver orders curbside with care
- Review goals, learn about new products and promotions, and prepare the store for success
- Maintain a shoppable space by recovering the floor and fitting rooms, updating signs and pricing, restocking merchandise, and supporting any needed merchandise moves
- Support one another with honesty, care, and collaboration to better serve customers and communities
Required Qualifications:
- Flexible availability, including days, evenings, weekends and holidays with regular, dependable attendance and punctuality
- Must be able to understand and communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, and supervisors
- Read and understand employment policies and safety rules/procedures in English
- Be comfortable communicating and collaborating with customers and colleagues
- Meeting daily sales goal challenges
- Enjoy meeting people, learning about them, and sharing information
- Resourceful and eager to start a new venture and can adapt to changing priorities; you can work on your own but are great with team dynamics
- This position requires talking, lifting, constant moving, standing, and reaching with arms and hands
- Standing for at least two consecutive hours, lifting at least 50lbs., stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders, reaching, including above eye level
- Requires close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment
- Frequent use of computers and other technology, necessary to perform job functions, including handheld equipment, cash register and ability to process register transactions
