Job Description
Summary: Macy's is a storied retail company with a rich history of over 160 years. They are seeking a Fine Jewelry Sales Associate to provide exceptional customer service in their Fine Jewelry and Watch Complex, ensuring customers have a welcoming and personalized shopping experience while achieving sales goals and maintaining operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Provide outstanding customer service in the Fine Jewelry and Watch Complex
- Create shopping experiences that make every customer feel welcomed, comfortable, and valued
- Demonstrate superior product knowledge to educate and assist customers in selecting items
- Build lasting client relationships through consultative selling and genuine hospitality
- Promote loyalty and warranty programs
- Support inventory and fulfillment activities, and special events
- Ensure security, accuracy, and impeccable presentation of merchandise
- Maintain a clean, organized, and shoppable space on the sales floor
- Drive sales and operational excellence using point-of-sale tools effectively
- Acquire new customers by opening credit accounts and sharing loyalty benefits
- Meet and surpass daily sales goals by delivering exceptional service
Required Qualifications:
- Flexible availability, including days, evenings, weekends and holidays with regular, dependable attendance and punctuality
- Must be able to: Understand and communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, and supervisors
- Read and understand employment policies and safety rules/procedures in English
- Provide product recommendations, assisting with fittings and digital shopping tools, and creating a welcoming, knowledgeable, and supportive shopping experience
- Drive sales and operational excellence by leveraging product knowledge, participating in vendor training and events, using point-of-sale tools effectively, and ensuring accurate stock presentation, replenishment, and asset protection compliance
- Drive sales and client loyalty by maintaining an organized and shoppable space, leveraging clienteling tools to promote offers and product launches, participating in sales events, and staying up to date through ongoing training and vendor education
- In addition to sales goals, achieving Client and Protection plan goals
- Responsible for acquiring new customers by opening credit accounts and sharing loyalty benefits
- Meeting and surpassing daily sales goals by delivering exceptional service
- Effectively use point-of-sale technology and digital tools to streamline transactions and enhance the shopping experience
- 1-2 years of related experience required
- This position requires talking, lifting, constant moving, standing, and reaching with arms and hands
- Standing for at least two consecutive hours, lifting at least 25lbs., stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders, reaching, including above eye level
- Requires close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment
- Frequent use of computers and other technology, necessary to perform job functions, including handheld equipment, cash register and ability to process register transactions
