Job Description
Summary: Locus Fermentation Solutions is a USA-Based Biotech company delivering high performance, bio-based solutions across agriculture, energy, mining, and industrial markets. The Quality Control Intern will support lab operations through documentation management and maintenance of laboratory equipment, providing a foundational experience in a professional QC environment.
Responsibilities:
- Manage lab paperwork, archive test records, and assist with data entry into our quality management systems
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace. This includes meticulous cleaning of specialized glassware and general housekeeping of the lab benches
- Perform basic cleaning and daily checks on analytical instrumentation to ensure everything is ready for testing
Required Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing or a recent graduate with a degree in Chemistry, Biology, or a related science field
- You understand that in a lab, a small clerical error or a dirty beaker can change everything
- You aren't afraid to roll up your sleeves for cleaning tasks because you know it's the best way to learn the equipment
- You're organized, punctual, and take pride in 'doing things the right way.'
- Must be able to wear and properly utilize required personal protective equipment (PPE), including hard hats, steel-toed boots, safety glasses, and hearing protection
- May require occasional lifting or carrying of materials or equipment weighing up to 25 pounds
- Able to work in environments involving dust, noise, vibration, and varying weather conditions
- Comfortable with extended periods of sitting (e.g., during travel), as well as standing and walking during on-site visits
- Must be adaptable to a dynamic environment with competing priorities and high-level business engagement
