Job Description
Summary: Lockheed Martin is a leader in aerospace and defense, and they are seeking a Test Technician for their Testing team. The role involves setting up and executing electronic assembly tests to ensure product performance and quality, while also collaborating with production, quality, and engineering teams to improve processes.
Responsibilities:
- Sets up test apparatus and conducts tests of electronic assemblies and units following methods, procedures, standards, and sequences
- Adjusts and calibrates systems as required; modifies electronic equipment by adding, removing, or altering components as defined by predetermined diagrams
- Identifies malfunctions by making adjustments or troubleshooting circuit cards
- Uses hand and small power tools, and various measuring and testing devices in performing job duties
- Performs tests and suggests modifications to testing equipment, and analyzes test results to evaluate performance of products and equipment
- Perform electrical and RF testing on systems, sub-assemblies, and circuit boards using manual and automated test equipment
- Work from Process/Work Instructions and test plans to ensure products meet quality standards
- Use various measuring instruments and electronic test equipment to meet quality requirements
- Document accurate data records and results test databases, generate reports, and assist in improving test procedures
- Basic troubleshooting / retesting of electronic assemblies
- Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to improve throughput and continuous improvement
Required Qualifications:
- Basic computer skills required, including ability to navigate digital systems for timekeeping, work instructions, and task confirmation
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Knowledge of ESD procedures and test equipment
- Strong work ethics and a reputation for punctuality and reliability, with a desire to grow and learn in their role
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship. An Interim Secret clearance is required prior to start
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with electrical and/or micro-electronics preferred
